Board of Trustees
- The Board is given the power under the Education Act 1989 and Regulations of Parliament as the legal body to govern the school in accordance with its own Charter.
- The essence of trusteeship is that all Trustees on the Board hold in trust for the community the successful education of all children enrolled at the school.
- The Board is responsible for setting strategic goals through its Strategic Plan; determining board policy; delegating powers including school management; review; employment of staff; the school’s financial affairs; and property management. (Ref: Trustee Handbook, NZSTA)
- Board Meetings are held monthly. All members of the school community are warmly invited.
- Members of the school community who wish to speak at a Board meeting on a particular issue, should contact the Board Chair (see below) by the Wednesday prior to a Board meeting so that provision can be made on the next agenda during Public Forum and any relevant papers may be pre-circulated to the Trustees.
